BW9802

Genesys BW9802 is a low-power dual-lane 20 Gbps linear redriver with USB Type-C DFP (Downstream Facing Port) controller.
The device includes two main function blocks:

1. The USB3.2 Gen2x2 redriver

2. The USB Type-C DFP (Downstream Facing Port) controller 
 

Redriver

It is compliant with the USB 3.2 Gen2 and USB3.2 Gen2x2. BW9802 provides programmable equalizer, DC gain controller and maximum output swing controller to compensate for the channel loss, and extends the length and enables the systems to pass USB compliance. The device optimizes performance when the high speed signals travel across PCB and cables, signal integrity degrades due to loss and inter-symbol interference.                       

BW9802 offers single supply voltage 3.3V with ultra-low power consumption. Each channel operates independently. The advanced power management of BW9802 can consume ultra-low power when the channel is idle for a longer time.

USB Type-C DFP Controller with 15W Power Switch

USB Type-C DFP (Downstream Facing Port) controller and 5V power switch for VBUS and VCONN power. Support USB Type-C current for Default (0.9A)/1.5A/3A current capability of VBUS charging. It is a 1 port structure and use I2C interface or Pin Mode controlled by MODE pin selection.
