GL862EE

GL862EE is a high performance USB 2.0 UVC compliant controller for PC Camera and NB camera applications. With the Genesys Logic’s industry-renowned USB high-speed transceiver technology, GL862EE provides up to 30 fps at VGA resolution and it captures still images at 2 Mega pixels for fulfilling the mass bandwidth demand of video transfers. GL862EE g guarantees bandwidth to satisfy users on video applications running at high bandwidth requirement concurrently.

 

GL862EE is compliant with USB Video Class 1.1, it works with Microsoft inbox driver in the distribution of Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 operation systems. In addition, Genesys Logic offers an alternative proprietary driver to provide better image quality and to support special function requirement.

 

On-chip-clock-source(OCCS) is built-in GL862EE, which is an advanced technology at Genesys Logic. It enables customers the most economical way to implement Notebook PC camera module by generating internal USB clock without an outside crystal. GL862EE also integrates one single-channel LDO voltage regulator for sensors to save board level cost

 

GL862EE supports configurable isochronous/bulk video pipe. In isochronous transfer mode, transfer rate can reach up to 24MB/sec according to USB2.0 specification. While at bulk transfer mode, the potential allocated bandwidth is higher than 24MB/sec, but bulk mode bandwidth cannot be guaranteed.

 

GL862EE’s flexible sensor interface enables customers to easily pair with a variety of CMOS sensors on the market. GL862EE consumes very low power and hence the operation temperature is low, which in turn reduces the sensor noise introduced by the heat generated by USB camera controller.
